Dewtreat

Softners

Dew is a leading manufacturer of industrial water softeners, including various standard and customized systems. The range of systems include top mount fiberglass units for commercial and light industrial applications, pre-engineered steel tank, automatic/manual valve systems for large industrial and municipal applications, non-conventional packed bed systems for critical industrial customers. Range available for any capacity.

Economical and efficient, Dew softeners can be equipped to operate manually, semi or fully-automatically. Regardless of the set up, only limited technical expertise is required for operation.

Dew’s Industrial Water Softeners

Dew offers two basic types of industrial water softener systems

Dewtex Softeners : pre-engineered diaphragm valve units designed for a variety of applications, ideal for single unit flow rates up unlimited flow rates with multiple units.

Fiberglass Tank, Top Mount Water Softeners, including:

  1. DEWTEX-EFT – Series – single, dual or triplex units, time clock or meter initiated systems for commercial and light industrial applications.
  2. DEWTEX-EDT – Series – dual tank, meter demand systems for light commercial and industrial applications.
  3. DEWTEX-EHW – Series – single vessel, time clock initiated systems for hot water dishwasher applications in restaurants.

Why use an Industrial Water Softener?

Calcium and magnesium are hard scale forming minerals that build up on piping, heat exchangers, water heaters, boilers, condenser and any steam related equipment. This buildup results in costly repairs, increased energy consumption, plugged heat exchangers and boiler tubes. The service life of linens, clothing, appliances and fixtures is greatly reduced due to these hard minerals. For laundry and dishwashing, the use of a water softener will significantly reduce the amount of soaps and detergents, resulting in reduced operating expenses.

Applications for Industrial Water Softeners

The following facilities are examples of ideal applications for water softening equipment:

  • Apartments/Condominiums
  • Car Washes
  • Boiler Feedwater
  • Hospitals and Hotels
  • Laundries
  • Manufacturing Plants
  • Office Complexes
  • Institutions
  • Food Processing Plants

Custom or Standard Industrial Water Softeners

Dew industrial water softener systems offer a wide variety of optional features to meet our customers’ requirements. With our engineering expertise and advanced CAD capabilities, modifications can be made to drawings quickly, minimizing delays and insuring that on-time deliveries can be met. One example of a custom industrial water softener is a Packed Bed System. These softener systems use upflow regeneration for critical, low hardness requirements.
